Terms of use

The terms for using PolarPeek.

Reviewed: October 29, 2026

PolarPeek is a free information service run by Paulius Petrusauskas, Vilnius, Lithuania (hello@polarpeek.com).

  1. Information only. Forecasts, times and positions are estimates from public data and models. The aurora, the weather and spacecraft orbits can change quickly. Do not rely on PolarPeek for navigation, safety or any decision where an error could cause harm or loss.
  2. No warranty. The service is provided “as is”, without guarantees of accuracy, completeness or availability. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any damage arising from its use.
  3. Safety. Never look at the Sun without a certified solar filter. Dress for the cold, tell someone where you are going and respect private land and road safety when chasing the aurora.
  4. Content. Texts and design are © PolarPeek. You may quote short passages with a link. Third-party data remain under their own licences (see Sources).
  5. Fair use. Do not scrape the site or the /api endpoints in bulk. If you need the data, use the original sources.
  6. Changes. We may update these terms; the date below shows the latest version. Lithuanian law applies.
